Miata was born before Mazda released the sassy little red sports car that shares her name, and she does not in fact drive one… Now with that out of the way…

Audiences, critics, artists (and of course well-paid friends and family members!) alike have described Miata Edoga as “powerful”, “dynamic” and “captivating.” She brings a unique combination of warmth, intelligence, elegance and quiet strength to her work as an actor.

Originally from New York, Miata has performed in theatres across both the United States and London. Her solo show, A Step Beyond the Rain, was a featured production in the New York International Fringe Festival and had a two month sold out run at the Two Roads Theatre in Los Angeles. Miata enjoyed a summer at Theater 150 in Ojai, appearing as Callie in Stop Kiss. Her other roles include Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Isabella in Measure for Measure, and Medea. Her television and film work has included The Real O’Neals, the daytime drama General Hospital, as well as supporting roles in John Frankenheimer’s TNT production George Wallace and The Truman Show, a Paramount film, directed by Peter Weir. Ms. Edoga graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA, with an honors degree in theatre. She is also a graduate of the British American Drama Academy in London.

Off-stage and off-camera, Miata is highly active in various causes, and is particularly passionate on the subject of financial education for the artistic community. To that end, she is the President and Founder of Abundance Bound, a company providing innovative tools, workshops and seminars specifically teaching artists to successfully manage their money. She is dedicated to the creation of a community of actors, artists and creative professionals – all financially secure and confident – pursuing their passion free from the crushing weight of financial stress. In addition to serving as the National Financial Wellness Consultant for The Actors Fund and a guest lecturer at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Miata has been invited to speak and teach for many different groups, including The Screen Actors Guild, The Directors Guild and The Writer’s Guild. She has served as a contributing writer for BackStage, the premiere actor’s newspaper, and is the monthly financial columnist for NOWCasting, an extremely popular online actor resource.

Miata is a wife and mother of two. She works each day to remember Harriet Tubman’s inspiration to us all…

“you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion

to reach for the stars to change the world.”

- and she’s just getting started!
